Privacy Policy

HeroLingo is an English vocabulary game for children, made by Doga Network. We designed it so that it works without collecting personal information. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.

No accounts, no personal data

HeroLingo has no sign-up and never asks for a name, e-mail address, age, photo or location. We do not use analytics or tracking tools, and we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).

Data stored on the device

Game progress (score, coins, owned items, settings, daily streak and your best runs) is saved only on the device. Deleting the app deletes this data.

World leaderboard (optional)

If the player picks a leaderboard name, the app stores that name, the best score and the chosen hero in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit public database) under a random ID created on the device. Names are built only from two English words chosen from a fixed list (for example "Brave Tiger"), so they can never contain a real name. The leaderboard shows no other information.

Purchases

In-app purchases and gift codes are handled entirely by Apple. We never see payment details; Apple only tells the app which items were bought. Every purchase is behind a parental gate.

Reward videos

HeroLingo has no pop-up ads. A child can choose to watch a short video to get a reward (for example an extra heart). These videos come from Kidoz, a COPPA- and GDPR-K-certified network for children that shows contextual ads only and does not use the advertising identifier. To deliver a video, Kidoz receives limited technical information such as device type, operating system, language and IP address, as described in its own privacy policy. Premium removes all videos.

Notifications

The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on the device. It is off by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings.

Microphone

If a speaking exercise is turned on, the app asks for microphone permission and checks the spoken word on the device. Audio is not recorded or sent anywhere.

Children

HeroLingo is made for children aged about 5 to 10 and follows Apple's rules for the Kids category, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU GDPR. Links outside the app and all purchases are protected by a parental gate.

Your choices

Parents can change the leaderboard name, turn off reminders or delete the app at any time. To remove a leaderboard entry, contact us with the leaderboard name and we will delete it.
